Step 1
Incorporate the Wavemaster into your training as a boxer. Break your time on the bag into work out sessions as well as punch-out drills.
-
Step 2
Begin with punch-out drills. Punch the Wavemaster Bag with all the punches you can without a rest for 15 to 60 seconds. Throw jabs and crosses one after another.
-
Step 3
Follow with four, three minute rounds of punching the heavy bag, being careful to work on your style and technique. Work on combinations, moving from side to side and be certain to integrate your head as you move. Rest for a minute between each round.
-
Step 4
Continue with four, 30 second punch-out drills as described above. Rest one minute between each of these drills.
-
Step 5
Finish with one final three minute round. You will find you are very tired at this point. Do not let your technique suffer as you punch the Wavemaster Bag.
-
Step 6
Do power boxing instead of two rounds of traditional training with the Wavemaster Bag. Punch the Wavemaster Bag with as much power as you can for three 60 to 90 second rounds. Use hooks, upper cuts and crosses. Rest for a minute between each round and follow with the power drills as described above.
