You've decided to add a step aerobics class to your work out routine. Good for you. Now, you need to find out where the classes are held. Find your step aerobics class by checking out some of the following suggestions and you'll be in your first class before you know it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Self discipline
Step1
Look in your local yellow pages to see what fitness clubs or work out facilities are in your neighborhood or close to where you work. Be sure to check out several different locations before making any type of financial commitment to these. Ask for a class schedule to make sure that their schedule coincides with yours. Be sure to ask for a free pass to try out a class before signing on the dotted line.
Step2
Check with the community center or parks and recreation center in your city. Many of these offer classes on a monthly basis or for a fall, spring, winter or summer session. The class fees are usually very reasonable and there is no long term commitment.
Step3
See if the company you work for has a health club affiliation. You may be able to get a company discount on your health club costs. Some employers or larger corporations even offer bonuses to employees that are actively trying to improve their health.
Step4
Ask the local dance studio director if they offer step aerobics classes. Many dance studios do have a selection of various type aerobics and they might include the step aerobics.
Step5
Form your own class by buying a step aerobics DVD and asking friends and neighbors to work out together. You can buy two or three different ones and switch every class. Working out with friends is a great motivator.
