Get Local News Using Icons

Step1
Go to ask.com. Click the left mouse button over the news icon.
Step2
Look for the box in which you enter a zip code or city name. Enter the appropriate number or city name you're interested in knowing information about.
Step3
Highlight the "Go" icon with your cursor and click with your left mouse button. Scan for headlines you're interested in reading.
Step4
Click your left mouse button on the main headline of any article to read part of it. If you want to continue reading the article, you must click the link that will directly take you to the local news media's website.

Get Local News Using Keywords

Step1
Go to ask.com. Look for the search box and type the word "Local News" along with the correct zip code. Then hit the "Enter" button.
Step2
Scan the headlines for articles you want to read. Other options include selecting a local news website from the list and being redirected to scan their articles.
Step3
Scroll to the bottom of the page to get to the next page of the headlines. Hit the "Next" button with your left mouse button to scroll through the pages.
Step4
Click your left mouse button on the main headline to be redirected to a local news website or to read any article in its entirety. Use the back button on your browser to return to the previous list at any time.
