How to Become a Laker Girl

To become a Laker Girl it helps to know about their history. They started in 1978 and are known worldwide as a top professional dance team. The Laker Girls have a glamorous status similar to Hollywood celebrities and some Laker Girls such as Paula Abdul have gone on to further fame. Be ready for some tough competition in your quest to become a Laker Girl.

Instructions

1. Participate in and master the various styles of dance such as jazz and ballet through private lessons or dance classes in order to become a Laker Girl. The routines that the Laker Girls perform during the game include many different types of dance.

2. Contact the Laker Girls Director of Game Operations & Entertainment at [phone]. She has the information needed to participate in the annual auditions that take place in July. Fill out any necessary paperwork and return it in a timely manner.

3. Prepare for the auditions by getting in tip top physical condition. Be prepared to perform your own routine so the judges can see your dance techniques.

4. Audition along with about four hundred other women. Even the previous Laker Girls attend because everyone must audition each year.

5. Make it through four rounds of auditions and then a final callback. In each round perform dance routines learned that day in front of judges. Round four includes an interview as well as dancing because the Laker Girls are involved with activities throughout the community.

6. Attend the final callbacks where you are judged once again on your dance performance during the complete audition phase, your personality and how well you did at the individual interview.
