When you need relaxation but you don't have time for a day at the spa, creating a spa day at home is a great alternative. Follow these steps to give yourself the pampering that you deserve in the comfort of your own home.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Relaxing music
  • Scented candles
  • Face mask
  • Cucumbers
  • Bubble bath
  • Bath salts
  • Champagne or wine
  • Nail polish
  • Bath robe
  1. Step 1

Choose a day when you can have the house to yourself and invite your friends over if you'd like. Clear everyone from the house if you have to. Send the kids to their grandparents' house and encourage your significant other to hang out somewhere else for the day.

  2. Step 2

Start the day with your favorite breakfast. Pancakes or French toast with fruit and whipped cream are great options to start your spa day. Keep strawberries, chocolate and champagne or wine around to snack and sip on throughout the day.

  3. Step 3

Set the mood. Play a relaxing CD, keep the lighting soft and light a few scented candles. Good sounds and smells will set the tone for an ultimate day of relaxation.

  4. Step 4

Give yourself a facial using a face mask and cucumbers for your eyes.

  5. Step 5

Use a massage chair or a hand held massage device to massage your back, neck and shoulders. If you have friends over, give each other back and shoulder massages to relax those tense muscles.

  6. Step 6

Take a hot bubble bath. Use fragrant bath salts and candles. Enjoy a glass of wine or champagne while you're soaking in the tub.

  7. Step 7

Wrap up in a comfy bath robe and paint your nails with your favorite nail color. End the day by reading a good book, watching your favorite movie or chatting with your friends.
