How to Collect Mail From Other Accounts in Gmail

Some people would like to be able to check all of their email accounts with the same email server. Gmail will let you check five other email accounts using mail fetcher. After you set up your email accounts, Gmail will regularly check all of your email accounts.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Go to your Gmail account. Choose "Settings" located in the upper right-hand corner.

  2. Step 2

    Find "Get Mail From Other Accounts" under the account section. Choose "Add Another Mail Account."

  3. Step 3

    Enter the complete email account you want to add to Mail Fetcher. When you are done choose "Next Step."

  4. Step 4

    After Google populates your Username and POP server fields, enter your password. You will have 4 options: "Leave a copy of your messages at your old server," "Use a secure connection when getting your messages," "Do you want your messages labeled" or "Archiving your messages."

  5. Step 5

    Choose "Add Account." After your account is added, your messages will regularly appear in your Gmail account.

  6. Step 6

    Follow steps 1 through 5 for each email account you want to add to Mail Fetcher.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can delete any account by going to the "Settings" page, finding the "Accounts" tab and deleting the email account.
  • After your account is set up, you can compose your email in Gmail and have it appear to be sent from another email address.
  • You can't customize the default setting of Mail Fetcher.
