Step 1
Start making customized changes to your Outlook spell check program by clicking on "Tools."

Select "Options" and find the "Spelling" tab at the top of the options window. Click it.

Find a list of general options. The main one you want to show a check mark by is "Always check spelling before sending."

Choose "Apply."

Click on "AutoCorrect Options" to further customize your spell check. The AutoCorrect window offers you options of common changes. Yet it also allows your to make automatic replacements with a "replace" and "with" options. When you know that you almost always hit the semi-colon key instead of the apostrophe key, you can automatically change "you;re" to "you're."

Make AutoCorrect exceptions in Outlook by clicking the "Exceptions" button. Note that when you add words during a spelling check, they are automatically added in the spell check dictionary. You can also edit the "custom spelling dictionary" under the Spell tab.

Pick "Apply" after making any changes. Click "OK" to exit the Options window.
