How to Cast a Spell in the Sims Makin' Magic

So the MagiCo Mystery Man has just left a suspicious package on your doorstep. Inside, there are crazy things like toad sweat and something that looks like a mechanical cauldron. You've been longing for your Sim to be able to get back at his best friend for stealing his Sim girlfriend, and now is your chance. These are the tools you need to cast a spell on someone.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1

Open the box. Put the magic wand, toad sweat, toadstools, butter, and MagiCoins in your Sim's inventory. Place the Start Here Spell Book, the Spellbound Wand Charger and the Hole in the Ground magic portal in convenient locations.

Step2

Create a spell. Use the Spell Book to look up recipes for various spells. As you'll see, you have the three ingredients needed to create the Toadification spell. Put the ingredients in the Wand Charger, click on the Wand Charger and select "Mix."

Step3

Charge your wand with the spell. To do this, click on the Wand Charger and select "Charge Wand."

Step4

Find a target. You can cast a spell on someone in your household, invite a friend over and cast it on him, or go to a community lot and cast a spell on a stranger.

Step5

Click on the Sim on which you would like to cast a spell, select "Cast" and "Toadification," or the name of any other spell you have charged into your wand. Your Sim will point his wand at the targeted Sim and cast the spell.

Tips & Warnings

If you try to cast a spell on someone, there's a possibility that she could block the spell with her wand and your Sim will end up casting it on himself. A good way to find out if another Sim possesses a wand is to click on her and choose "Talk" and "About Magic." If she speaks with speech bubbles above her head that contains red X's, chances are she dislikes magic and doesn't have a wand.
