Outlook Express is an email program provided by Microsoft. This simple, easy-to-use program allows users to get the most from a basic email program. One glitch is that sometimes letters or words in the left or right margins are cut off when you print. The solution is to adjust the margins by following these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Pick the "Print" selection under the "File" menu option. Click "Preferences." Choose "Borderless Printing" if you want to print photos. "Minimize Margins" allows the printer to print closer to the bottom of the page. Click "OK" after you make a selection or "Cancel" if you don't want either choice.
Step2
Curb your frustration when you find that there is no printer margin setting in Outlook Express. If you downloaded Outlook Express as part of Internet Explorer, you can change margins in the Internet Explorer browser window to change the margins in Outlook Express.
Step3
Open Internet Explorer to your home page. Click File from the top of the menu bar.
Step4
Select "Page Setup." In the page setup window, find the margin settings near the bottom of the task window. Make your changes to the margin settings and click "OK."
Step5
Choose "Print Preview" under File for another alternative in changing your margins. The Print Preview window features a "Page Setup" button where you can also make margin setting changes.
Step6
Click "OK" to return to the "Print Preview" window and check how your margins look. Adjust as needed.
Step7
Elect to print after adjusting printer margins to your satisfaction.

on 8/20/2008 Please help. When I print a letter from my email, two or three letters are left off the left hand margin. This makes it difficult to read. I have gone to the print icon to find PRINT PREVIEW. The print icon does not have this option.
I have gone to FILE and checked the drop-down menu. Again, no PRINT PREVIEW option is given. There is not way to change my margin settings for email.
I can do this with Microsoft Word documents. However, this option is not given under my email print options.
