Step 1
Go to the far outside of the wake. Getting the right speed is going to make the difference for this trick. Build your progressive toeside edge. Cut quickly for greater speed. By the time you hit the wake, you'll be going strong. Use the same amount of pressure on the balls of your feet to keep your hard edge.
-
Step 2
Stay low the closer you get to the wake. Keep your back straight, butt low. Don't lean to the front or bend your waist.
-
Step 3
Jump with the wake. Head the board's nose up and slightly away from the boat. That will help you rotate. Turn inward, looking back. The board should be inverted above your head.
-
Step 4
Swing the board around in the frontside 180. Do this while still in the air. Bring the handle down in tight against your knees. Follow through, getting your feet back underneath you and ready for the landing.
-
Step 5
Keep your eyes with the boat or shoreline. Otherwise, plan for a nice wipe out.
