How to Lose Weight on the Subway Diet

The Subway Fresh Fit Diet was developed after Jared Fogle became a TV personality for losing a large amount of weight by eating a regular diet of sandwiches from the Subway fast food chain. For people that tend to grab food on the go, this is an ideal diet to follow.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Choose from eight sandwiches at Subway stores. Each of these subs contains less than 6 grams of fat. Choices include the Veggie Delight, Turkey Breast and Ham, Chicken Breast and Club Sandwich.

  2. Step 2

    Skip the fatty condiments. The sandwiches are lower in fat because they do not include cheese or mayonnaise which increase the fat content.

  3. Step 3

    Add a nutritional side to your sandwich--either apple slices, raisins or baked chips.

  4. Step 4

    Drink a low calorie beverage: water, diet soda or low fat milk.

  5. Step 5

    Exercise while following the Subway Diet. The diet encourages you to reach your goal weight by participating in moderate exercise each day.

Tips & Warnings
  • There is also a Subway Diet designed for children to follow. The child chooses either a ham, turkey or roast beef sandwich with apples or raisins on the side. The child is offered milk or juice to drink.
  • In most of the Subway Diet meals, there are less than 400 calories and under 6 grams of fat. This is a fraction of the calories and fat found in meals offered by other fast food restaurants.
