The Curves Diet is the eating plan outlined in the book "Curves" by Gary Heavin and Carol Colman. The diet works in conjunction with the Curves chain of gyms which are scattered throughout the nation. By following the Curves Diet, you can lose a substantial amount of weight.

Step1
Choose the plan that works best for you. There are two main eating plans outlined in the Curves book. The Carb-Sensitive Plan dramatically reduces the number of carbohydrates that you eat daily; the Calorie-Sensitive Plan limits your caloric intake.
Step2
Expect to follow a low carb eating plan. On both plans, you are expected to cut out breads, pasta, whole grains and certain fruits.
Step3
Reduce your fat intake as well. You want to rely on lean proteins to get your body's required fats. Chicken, fish and turkey can be consumed in large amounts.
Step4
Follow the two phases of the diet. The first phase lasts for 2 weeks and allows you to eat approximately 1200 calories a day. You follow the second phase until you reach your weight loss goal. You can have 1600 calories a day during this phase.
Step5
Use the recipes and shopping lists provided in the book to create dishes that you can eat on the Curves plan.
Step6
Complete an exercise program. The Curves fitness plan involves a 30- minute circuit training program.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some nutritionists recommend that people should not follow a diet that is very high in animal fat. Speak to your doctor to make sure that the Curves diet is right for you.
