Capture memories by transforming holiday cards and postcards into place mats.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Gather old greeting cards, children's drawings or postcards.

  2. Step 2

    Cut a piece of cardboard into a 16-by-10-inch mat.

  3. Step 3

    Place and arrange cards and pictures on the cardboard mat.

  4. Step 4

    Glue the cards into place.

  5. Step 5

    Cover the mat with clear contact paper.

  6. Step 6

    Trim the contact paper edges.

  7. Step 7

    Press out any air bubbles in the contact paper using a rolling pin.

  • Use postcards from exotic places for a summer or tropical-themed place mat.
