How to Make Raspberry Cider
One of the best things about the change of seasons, from summer's heat to the crisp, cool days of autumn days, is a cup of hot, fresh apple cider on a chilly day. The addition of raspberry adds a tangy flavor and a lovely reddish hue to this old favorite. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 cup frozen raspberry juice, thawed
- 8 cups apple cider
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 2/3 cups apple cider
- 1 1/3 cups seedless raspberry jam
- 1 1/4 tsp. lemon juice
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup frozen raspberry juice
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 cups orange liqueur

Hot Raspberry Cider

Mix the raspberry juice, apple cider and sugar in a saucepan. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it simmers, stirring occasionally.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Remove the mixture from heat and remove the cinnamon stick.

Serve hot in heavy mugs. This recipe makes 8 servings.
Hot Mulled Raspberry Cider

Mix the apple cider and jam in a saucepan over medium heat.

Fresh apple cider tastes best, but if fresh cider is out of season, canned or frozen cider can be substituted.
