Sometimes when we have been married for years and are "just used to each other," we can forget to keep the fire alive in our marriage. Being romantic over 50 can sometimes be tricky, since ideas for romance can begin to feel routine. But romance is very important, and it can really spice up your marriage. Keep the sparks alive and try out some ideas to be romantic over 50.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Spend a nice cozy afternoon with your partner. Go to a large bookstore like Borders or Barnes & Nobles where you can read and look through different book topics together. You will be surprised at how close you might feel with your partner. You can share a coffee and sit down to discuss what you bought.
Step2
Try not to bring your work home with you. No matter what age you are, it is important to make sure your work and family life are separate. Work should be left at work, and your family or partner should get time with you when you get home.
Step3
Take a stroll on the beach with your partner. Wake up early and go see the sunrise or go in the evening to see the sun set. You may be over 50, but you can always take a skinny dip in the water with your partner if you are in a secluded area. Live on the edge and keep your relationship spicy.
Step4
Set a night for romance. Take your partner out for a romantic dinner and dancing. Sometimes with the hustle and bustle of life, we forget to spend special time or make an effort with our partners. Plan a night and surprise them with a night they will not forget!
Step5
Plan a picnic in a beautiful spot for both of you. Find a park that you both love and enjoy strolling through and plan a surprise picnic with snacks, champagne and a dessert. If you can, take a little radio with you and find a romantic channel to set the mood.
