Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Determine what type of trip you are taking. There is, after all, a difference between a person who lives near various beaches and one who will be traveling far out of state for a beach vacation. If you are planning a vacation, it will be best to scout out possible parasailing locations before the trip is booked.
Step2
Consider the budget you have set aside for this parasailing adventure. Most popular beaches offer short parasailing rides at reasonable prices. If you're in the mood for something more involved or remote, try a company that offers parasailing tours for small groups of people.
Step3
Go with remote parasailing tours that offer breathtaking views if this is a date or a romantic get together. For these tours, the view is the primary focus, so you won't be parasailing to extreme heights as you might during adventure parasailing.
Step4
Scout out a location with relatively calm waters. Choppy, wavy water will agitate the boat that the parasail is tethered to, which can create a nerve wracking experience, particularly for those who are new to this type of recreation.
Step5
Try to find a location where the operators are members of the Professional Association of Parasail Operators to ensure the safety of you and your party.
Step6
Find out in advance, if the parasailing operator you choose allows spectators in their location if there are people in your group who just want to watch. Observers are allowed at the operator's discretion only, and not all of them allow it.
