How to Meet Someone During Happy Hour

What better way to end a long day at work than by having a cold beer and meeting a hot new catch? Meeting someone during happy hour is a fun way to spice up those oh-so-dull weekdays. It's enough to make you look forward to the work week.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Wear a hot outfit. A man in a suit can be a serious turn on as can a lady in a dress and heels. Leaving your professional attire in tact definitely does the job, but if your suit feels a little too stuffy, bring a more casual outfit to change into before you hit the bar.
Step2
Make sure that you have at least one or two other outgoing friends to go with you to happy hour. Have a few of your best friends meet you at the bar after work, or go with your co-workers if you feel comfortable enough to drink and socialize with them.
Step3
Go to a happening bar and have a few drinks. Some bars are known to have excellent happy hours with great crowds. Ask your friends and co-workers if you aren't sure which bars to try. Loosen up and have a glass of wine, beer or whatever gets you in the mood to have some fun.
Step4
Check out the scene for prospects, make eye contact and toss out a few sexy grins. Approach any guy or girl who seems receptive and who is making eyes back at you.
Step5
Ask the lady if you can buy her a drink. Make small talk with her and her friends. Be nice, courteous and funny, but not overwhelming. For the ladies, position yourself close to the guy you're checking out and make it clear that you're approachable by making consistent eye contact and having a flirtatious demeanor. Allow him to approach you or go up to him and chat it up. Be sweet and talkative without going overboard.
Step6
Exchange phone numbers, meet your new catch at happy hour again later in the week and if things go really well, ask her out on a date.

Tips & Warnings

  • When you ask your latest love interest out on a date, be specific. If you want to take her out to dinner for example, ask: "Would you like to go out to dinner this Friday?" instead of just saying, "We should hang out sometime."
  • Remember, there are five days in the week, so if you find nothing but duds one day, keep trying or go to a different bar. You never know who might be waiting around the corner at the next happy hour.
  • Don't forget to freshen up before you go to happy hour. After a long day at work, your hair and makeup (for the ladies) might need a quick brush up. Comb your hair, wipe off your face and reapply your makeup. Looking fresh and put together when you enter the bar definitely increases your chances of meeting someone.
