Advertising a craft show is a very important part of organizing a successful craft show. The advertising will oftentimes determine how many people come to the show. Good advertising can lead to a large crowd and a very successful craft show. It is not hard to advertise a craft show. With a little time and effort, most advertising will be successful.

Step1
Contact all of the area newspapers to place an advertisement. Be sure to contact the smaller newspapers that are available in most communities as well as the main local paper. Contact all newspapers within a twenty-five mile distance from the site of the craft show.
Step2
Advertise the craft show by placing yard signs throughout the community and surrounding areas where the craft show will be held. Be sure to get permission before placing signs in someone's yard or at a business.
Step3
Leave advertisements with the date, time, and location of the craft show at local craft stores and on car windows that are parked in the parking lots of craft stores and other busy areas. You can also leave advertisements at locations near the craft show location.
Step4
Announce the craft show on television and radio. Choose a few popular radio and television stations that get a lot of viewers or listeners.

  • Check the spelling, date, and time written on the advertisements.
  • Use the forms of advertisement that are most cost efficient.
  • Ask volunteers to help advertise the craft show. Getting the word out to many people is the secret to successful advertising.
