A cell phone isn't just a cell phone, it's a status symbol. The more bells and whistles, the cooler the phone. Internet access, ring tones, texting are all "must haves" today, and Verizon Camera Phones have them. Here are some tips on where to buy a Verizon camera phone.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Visit verizonwireless.com. This is the official site for Verizon and will keep you up to date on their latest and greatest camera phones. This is a great place to browse, learn the specs of your phone and check out the various service plans in the comfort of your own home (without the sales staff and long lines in your way.) Then if you found what you like, go ahead and buy the phone.
Step2
Go to a Verizon Wireless store to purchase your camera phone. On their website, there is a store locator. Simply type in your zip code and you'll view the closest stores to you. It's always good to demo the phone in your hot little hand before purchasing. Because at that point, you are usually locked into a contract. Don't hesitate to ask the sales staff their honest opinion about reception either. Even though every phone is supposed to be equal on their network, they'll give you better insight.
Step3
Stop by electronics stores like Circuit City, Best Buy or even office supply stores like Staples. While these stores do not specialize in phones, the advantage is that you'll be able to compare the Verizon camera phones to other brands. Compare and contrast the models. This way when you purchase your Verizon camera phone, you'll be confident you made the right choice.
Step4
Buy your Verizon camera phone secondhand. Sites like usedcellphones.com and recellular.com will sell you refurbished phones at a deep discount. Just be sure that you receive a warranty, even if only for 90 days, with your purchase.
Step5
Peruse online auction sites like Ebay.com or Ubid.com. Because competition is so fierce on these sites, you will be able to get insane deals on your Verizon camera phone. The trick is the warranty might not be as good.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure you understand the contract before signing up for the phone. Terms can be from monthly to 2 years long. Also, make sure to ask what the penalty is to leave the plan early.
  • Do the math on whether the insurance makes sense. If the phone only cost you $50, then paying $8 a month probably isn't worth it. But if you got a macdaddy phone and spent $500, then take the insurance.
