Buy Industrial Chemicals

Chemicals are necessary for many different reasons and make the manufacturing process most effective. With the environment under intense scrutiny these days, many laws govern the sale of industrial chemicals and their uses. Suppliers must meet government guidelines. While many imported chemicals do not provide the same protections as U.S-bought chemicals, the by-products are governed by the same laws as chemicals purchased stateside.

Know which industrial chemicals are regulated and how they must be reported and used. A list of current U.S. laws governing chemical usage can be found at etoxics.org.

Decide how much you are willing to expose your community to the waste used by the chemicals you purchase. While laws are in place to protect the public, some people believe those laws could be much stricter. Much of the environmental responsibility rests with the individual supplier and their buyers.

      • 3

Research the various options in industrial chemicals for your use. You may find alternatives to the old chemicals that are biodegradable and more environmentally friendly. A number of suppliers offer industrial chemicals that work just as well as the old standbys.

      • 4

Buy your chemicals from a reputable source to avoid any government fines and to protect your family and your employees from unwanted exposure to toxic chemical fumes or waste. Beware of cheap foreign products from unknown suppliers.
