Teenagers love to go on Spring Break. Every year, thousands of teens and young adults go to various places for Spring Break. Trust is an important thing between teens and their parents. There are steps adults can take to trust teens on Spring Break.

From Quick Guide: Get Away for Spring
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Ask the teen about the Spring Break trip. Ask them where they are going, what they will be doing and who they will be with. Get a list of the names of the friends that are going on the trip with them. It may also be a good idea to get the cell phone number of the friends as well to use in case of an emergency.

  2. Step 2

Assure yourself that you have taught your teen well and they will make wise decisions while on Spring Break. Trust your parenting skills if you believe you have taught your child well for many years.

  3. Step 3

Tell the teen to contact you everyday to let you know they are OK. Tell them to call you anytime, and it is alright to leave a message. Knowing they are OK will help you trust them more. Let them know that the call will not take much of their time.

  4. Step 4

Allow your teen to go on Spring Break with another person you trust. This will also help you trust your teenager a lot more.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never pressure a teen or tell them that you do not trust them. This will cause resentment and arguments.
  • Remain calm. Don't worry about something that may never happen.
