How to Host a Television Show Finale Party

Your favorite television show is ending its run, and you're going to miss it terribly. However, instead of mourning during the final episode, throw a finale party for your friends instead. With a little creative planning, you can send your favorite show out in style, and give your friends a night to remember at the same time.

1. Establish a theme for your party that's centered on the television show. For example, if the show takes place in New York City, you might want to have a Big Apple-theme celebration.
2. Mail invitations that fit your theme. For example, if the television show's main character always wears a blue-and-white striped shirt, consider making invitations that feature blue and white stripes.
3. Purchase supplies, including decorations, tableware, and serving pieces for the party that support the theme.
4. Contact your guests and ask them to dress according to the theme of the finale party.
5. Select music that complements the television show. If the show takes place in the 1980s, consider a playlist that features popular songs from that decade, for example.
6. Serve food that fits with the finale party theme. If the show features characters who always hang out in a coffee shop, for example, consider preparing a coffee service, with selections of sandwiches, muffins, scones, and other coffee shop fare.
7. Consider making CDs of music played on the television show to give to your guests as a party favor.
