Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Have one ounce of chocolate each day. This idea is the cornerstone of the Chocolate Diet. It will tame your chocolate cravings and reduce your urge to cheat.

  2. Step 2

Plan meals surrounding a pasta dish. The majority of the meals on the Chocolate Diet consist of pasta with low-fat sauce on top.

  3. Step 3

Eat lots of fruit. On the Chocolate Diet you'll eat fruit with each pasta meal and snack on fruit between meals. You'll also have lots of salads with low-fat dressing.

  4. Step 4

Snack on popcorn. You'll eat three snacks daily on the Chocolate Diet and two of those are popcorn. Pair your daily chocolate intake with one of the popcorn snacks if you wish.

Tips & Warnings
  • One ounce of chocolate is equal to 2/3 Hershey bar, 1/4 cup chocolate chips or one square of baking chocolate. If you crave snack foods other than chocolate, substitute a 1-oz. portion of those foods for your daily portion of chocolate.
  • There is no specific exercise program associated with the Chocolate Diet.

  • Avoid the following foods while on the Chocolate Diet: sugar, sodium, salt, alcoholic beverages, oils, oily fruits, high sugar or high calorie fruits, red meats, dairy products, seeds, nuts, caffeine and carbonated soft drinks.
  • The Chocolate Diet is considered a fad diet because it eliminates certain food groups. Experts believe fad diets won't work over the long term because of the elimination of foods.
