1
Buy plus size clothing if you are heavy up top. Although you may not normally wear a plus size, these sizes may fit your ample chest better than normal sizes.
-
2
Wear v-neck shirts. A v-neck style can be flattering on a busty woman as long as the neckline does not plunge too deeply.
-
3
Choose empire waist tops. These tops were designed with the busty woman in mind. They not only accentuate your breasts, but hide any possible problem areas of the body.
-
4
Steer away from blouses with buttons. Buttons are often a busty girl's worst enemy. If you have large breasts, buttons often don't close all the way on tops.
-
5
Layer the tops that you wear. A camisole with a built in bra worn under a jacket or sweater can be a great style for a busty woman.
-
6
Look for tops with a design. Stripes and leopard prints are the ideal choice for busty women looking to draw attention away from their chest size.

Tips & Warnings
Don't overexpose your breasts in tops that are meant for small-chested women. Revealing your breasts reveals your poor taste.
Don't go braless when wearing tops for busty women. You need the support.

Have to agree this advice is wrong! As an Australian size 14G Plus size tops and empire line clothes make me look pregnant! I wear Australian size 12 jeans! (To give you an idea Models wear size 8-10!) and I am 5'8" and I have had to learn how to sew or I just can't find anything that fits and looks half way decent! Bravissimo is a GODSEND! -

... great for a busty woman; however, very few empire waist tops are really designed to be flattering to busty women. 4. This can be true. But it would be more useful to put information here about what companies there are that actually make button tops for busty women. There are actually a few, such as Bravissimo and A.J. Rumina. 5. Keep in mind that for busty women, a "built-in bra" is useless without a real bra under it. Also, it's important to note that in layering, a busty woman should be careful not to add too much bulk around the bust, and to avoid cardigans that fasten at the top, since their line is very unflattering for busty women. 6. Yes and no. Some patterned tops draw attention TO the bustline, particularly those that have lighter or brighter colors near the bust than on the rest of the top. Things you failed to mention: * Make sure that you have a bra that fits... -

1. This doesn't work. It leaves a busty woman looking like she's wearing a tent. Even if you then get the back and waist taken in, which is a bit of a pain, the armscyes will still generally be pulled farther forward than they should be. If all it took for busty women to look good was to wear bigger shirts, you wouldn't need to make an eHow article about it. 2. This is true. 3. These only work if the waistline is at the right place. For most busty women, the placement of the waistline on most empire-waist clothing can cut right across the bust instead of falling right underneath the bust where it's supposed to be. Also, see #1 for the tent/maternity top look problem. That's often a big problem with busty women in empire waist tops, unless the top goes in at the waistline to show the difference between bust size and the rest of the torso size. Finding a good empire waist top can be... -

Rebecca & Drew in NYC makes button down shirts by bra size so they don't pull or gape open in the buttons- it's kind of a miracle... I highly recommend them!
