Families are always looking for more ways to enjoy each other's company and to bond emotionally. While camping under the stars may sound relaxing and joyful, it may not always be the case with children. By creating an indoor camp out, you can sleep closely with your family—but without the biting mosquitoes and chirping crickets. Read on to learn how to have indoor camp outs.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Brainstorm as a family all of the things you need for your indoor camp out. The essentials may differ from family to family, but the basics include an indoor tent, sleeping bags, books and flashlights.
Step2
Choose a night that works best for your family to have an indoor camp out. It's important family time, so all of the children should be present.
Step3
Shop your local grocery store for some items that you want to have at your indoor camp out. Even though you are indoors, roasting some hot dogs and cooking up a S'mores recipe are fun ideas.
Step4
Pack all of your things for your indoor camp out. This is a fun idea, especially if you have young children. They can get their backpacks together along with their favorite stuffed animals and flashlights.
Step5
Venture off to your destination, whether it is in your living area or a bedroom.
Step6
Set up your indoor tent, if you choose to have one. Otherwise, continue to spread out your sleeping bags on the floor.
Step7
Read age-appropriate stories and haunted tales for all of your children.
