1
Cut a length from your red construction paper. Make the strip of red paper about 2 to 3 inches wide. This will make the headband for the reindeer antlers.
-
2
Wrap the band of red construction paper around the widest part of the child's head. Mark the spot where you will need to attach the ends of the band.
-
-
3
Staple the edges of the red band at the spot you marked in Step 2.
-
4
Fold the brown construction paper in half and trace the child's hand on the paper. This way, you'll only have to trace the child's hand once and you'll end up with two of the same size antlers.
-
5
Cut the traced hand from the brown construction paper. They should resemble reindeer antlers and be the same size.
-
6
Staple each hand to opposite sides of the red headband.

Tips & Warnings
Have the child make up a reindeer name and write it on the red headband of the reindeer antlers.
For older children who may find hand tracing babyish, you can still employ the same methods. Instead of folding the brown construction paper in half, stack two full pieces of brown construction paper together. Then have the child draw a reindeer antler freehand. The child will still end up with two antlers of the same size, but they may feel better about having drawn the antlers by themselves.
