5. Renew SAS licenses annually. Often, renewing the license will be cheaper than repurchasing the entire software package.

6. Renew the software before the 90-day grace period ends. The software will not function without a license.

7. Buy the license from the university you are attending or teaching at as you may get a discount purchasing from an educational institution rather than directly from the software company.
