Things You'll Need:
- 1 sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper
- Tape measure or ruler (optional)
-
Step 1
Place the paper in front of you so that the long sides are vertical and fold the page in half. Don't make a full crease, simple pinch the edges to make small creases on both sides. Next, make four evenly spaced creases, in fifths, along the top edge. Measure the creases out with a tape measure if you'd like.
-
Step 2
Fold the left and right sides to the 2/5 creases and make a complete crease from top to bottom. Fold the bottom edge to the side crease you made in Step 1. While holding the position of the bottom edge at the creases, pull the bottom edge corners out, so that the soon-to-be sleeve looks like an upside down T.
-
Step 3
Look at the bottom portion. You will see a crease from the vertical folds you made on the left and right sides. Take the corners you have just pulled out and fold them back inside, but this time along the left and right creases. You should now be able to see where your CD will fit snug into the sleeve.
-
Step 4
Crease the top corners in slightly, slip a CD into the bottom, and fold the top portion of the paper over the disc. Tuck the top flap into the bottom pocket, and presto, you have a paper CD sleeve.
-
Step 5
Decorate your CD sleeve, print album covers on the paper before folding, write out song lists, glue on magazine clippings or get creative in your own fashion.
