Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two ends of rope or string
  1. Step 1

Place two pieces of rope or string in your hands; one end in each hand. It can be the same piece of rope or two different pieces of rope.

  2. Step 2

Cross the two pieces of rope, the right over the left. Place the ends of the rope in opposite hands. The end of rope that you were holding in your right hand should now be in your left hand and the end of rope that you were holding in your left hand should now be in your right hand.

  3. Step 3

Bring the piece of rope that is now in your right hand over the other piece of rope and stick it underneath through the two pieces of rope where they cross. Pull the rope through until the ropes are tight.

  4. Step 4

Repeat this process, crossing the two pieces of rope again, right over left, placing the ends of the rope in the opposite hands.

  5. Step 5

Bring the piece of rope in your right hand over the other piece of rope once more and stick it underneath the two ropes at the cross.

  6. Step 6

Pull the rope tight and you have your "granny knot."
