Create an outline for any report you have to write first. When you know the structure of what you want to say, you spend less time fiddling with the keyboard.

Develop a system for your macros that's easy to remember. For example, you could use the first three letters of short words as the macro, so "sys" would expand to "system." In phrases, you could use the first two letters of each word in the phrase, so "mcss" would be "macros system."
