How to Host an Emmy Party

If you plan to have people over to watch the Emmy Awards, why not go all out and throw an Emmy party? 2. Put out a red carpet leading to your front door. Buy a large piece of red fabric and adhere it to the sidewalk in front of your house.
3. Purchase a couple of celebrity cardboard cutouts. Find a cutout or two of your favorite television stars and place them around the room as if they are party guests.
4. Serve appetizers and drinks. You don't need to serve a heavy meal since the party will start in the evening about an hour before the show. Instead spend your money on a few appetizers, wine, beer and mixed drinks.
5. Enlist the kids as paparazzi. Keep the kids occupied at the Emmy party by letting them take pictures of the guests.
6. Provide enough seats in front of the television. You want to make sure that everyone has a seat during the show.
