Pizza has been one of America's all time favorite foods for many years, and Godfather's Pizza is one of America's best-known pizza restaurants. While pizza restaurants aren't know to offer the best choices for nutritious dining, there are ways to enjoy eating at Godfather's while still sticking to a healthy diet. Read on to learn how.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Order a meatless pizza, which is much healthier choice. One slice of a Godfather's medium-sized, original crust all meat combo pizza has a whopping 370 calories, 16g of fat and 860mg of sodium.
Step2
Enjoy a veggie pizza. Just 1 slice of a Godfather's medium-sized original crust veggie pizza drops the calorie load to 270, with 9g of fat and 520mg of sodium.
Step3
Switch to thin-crust pizzas. A medium thin-crust meat-lovers pizza drops to 280 calories, with 15 g of fat and 570 mg of sodium. A medium veggie pizza is an even better choice with 190 calories, 9 g of fat and 300 mg of sodium.
Step4
Ask for only half of the cheese. Decreasing the amount of cheese will lower the calories, fat and sodium considerably and you may not even notice the difference.
Step5
Ask your server that your pizza be made with white cheese only. Yellow cheese is very high in fat, calories and sodium.
Step6
Skip the cheese sticks. Each Godfather's cheese stick has 130 calories and 3.5g of fat. If your meal isn't complete without them, order regular breadsticks. One breadstick has 80 calories and 2g of fat.
Step7
Skip dessert. However, if you just can't resist, Godfather's apple dessert is the healthiest choice with 139 calories and 2g of fat.
Step8
Do your own detailed comparison using Godfather's Nutritional Facts chart on their web site listed below.
