When men get married, they're usually not planning on having a lazy wife. However, if a man finds himself with a wife that's not keen on doing housework, all is not lost. Through empathy, discussion and lending a helping hand, any man can turn a lazy woman into his dream wife. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Talk to your wife and voice your concerns. If you continue to think of her as a lazy wife without telling her how you feel, you're sure to resent her quickly. Instead of calling her lazy, simply tell her you need certain things done around the house and that you're willing to help.
Step2
Help her around the house. If your wife sees you doing chores, it may give her incentive to chip in and stop being lazy. Many women resent having to do everything themselves. So bear part of the burden and show your wife that she's not alone.
Step3
Buy her appliances that make her life easier. Make it fun for her to do her chores by getting her something new. If you don't have a dishwasher, consider buying one. While the load of dishes is washing, she can be lazy because work is still getting done.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't compare her to your friends' wives in an effort to show her she's wrong. Not only will you have a lazy wife, you'll have an angry lazy wife.

on 10/9/2008 A woman must have written this. How else can you explain the utter non-sense? In today's day and age, if a woman is a stay at home wife, is is a life style choice. If a one member of the house hold is the working member and the other is the stay at home type then by definition, it is that person's job to do the housework, regardless of "applicances". If you cannot afford a dishwasher, the dishes still need to get washed. What's next, hire a chef, because that person chooses to not cook. How about I choose not to go to work?

on 9/12/2008 writetruth... how are you supposed to talk to her and be there for her if you have to work all day then come home, cook dinner, do the laundry, clean the floors, clean the bathroom, take care of your kid, etc. etc. I work all day and do almost all of the freakin' housework. She is home all day and sits on the computer surfing the web all day. I have paid for anti-depressants, paid for therapy. She quit them both. What is a guy supposed to do?

on 9/8/2008 I'm sorry, but this is not a useful method of getting the wife to do the housework. My wife won't lift a finger unless I stand behind her and move the finger for her. As soon as I turn away, she sits down.

I work eight hours a day and run a business in my spare time - she sits and watches TV, cooks once a week and talks on the phone. My house is a disgusting pigsty, but I don't see that I should 'help' her with the housework - she doesn't help me earn the money.

I have tried to pay a cleaner to do it, but that sends her psycho yellig "I'M THE LADY OF THE HOUSE !" (Hahahaha)

Here's what I'm doing. I'm looking for a small room t rent in a shared house nearby, and I'm going to leave her here to drown in the mess and dirty dishes. I'll get quality visiting time with my son, because at the moment I'm angry every moment I'm at home.

on 8/16/2008 Does cleaning the shower semi-annually still qualify my wife as a "homemaker"? I work at home and I see what she does. I am not impressed. In fact, I would say that she is spoiled and has too much time on her hands. Her ass is twice the size it should be. I can't stand American women. After an experience like this, I'm thinking about becoming gay without the sex.
