How to Make Mandarin Orange, Spinach, & Almond Salad

This is an easy, delicious recipe to take along on a picnic. Serve it as a side dish with barbecue chicken. Easy to make, delicious to eat. Serves 4 to 6. Read on to learn how to make it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 to 4 cups spinach leaves
  • 1/4 cup sliced onions
  • 1 (11oz) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted in butter
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  1. Step 1

    Mix onions, spinach, oranges, and almonds in a large salad bowl. Place aside.

  2. Step 2

    Combine the vegetable oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper together to make the dressing. Put the dressing in the refrigerator.

  3. Step 3

    Keep the dressing chilled for a minimum of 2 hours.

  4. Step 4

    Take dressing out of the refrigerator.

  5. Step 5

    Toss the dressing with the salad ingredients in the large salad bowl and serve immediately.
