How to Make an Easy Clam Dip

Looking for a quick and easy dip that is sure to please any crowd? Well, then this is your best bet! This wonderfully easy and delicious dip will thrill your guests at your next party. This recipe makes 1 1/3 cups of dip. Serve it with crackers or chips.

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 16 Ounce packages cream cheese
  • 1 7 1/2 Ounce can minced clams
  • 1 Tablespoon minced onions
  • 2 Drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 Dash salt
  • 1 Dash pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon lemon juice
  1. Step 1

    Take the cream cheese out of the refrigerator and allow it to soften before using. Put the softened cream cheese into a medium size bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Strain the can of clams into a bowl, that can catch the juice. Set aside 2 tablespoons of juice to be used later.

  3. Step 3

    Add 2 tablespoons of clam juice to the softened cream cheese. Mix the clam juice and cream cheese together until smooth.

  4. Step 4

    Combine the minced clams, Tabasco sauce, salt, pepper, onion and lemon juice with the cream cheese and clam juice mixture. Blend all together well.

  5. Step 5

    Place the dip in a refrigerator for a minimum of an hour.

  6. Step 6

    Serve chilled dip with crackers or chips. Fresh vegetables are also delicious with this dip.

Tips & Warnings
  • Cream cheese can be softened in the microwave; but be sure to lower the temperature or power level of the microwave in order to be sure that the cream cheese does not get cooked.
