Save money on expensive moisturizers by making your own at home. Natural ingredients are particularly gentle and soothing to the skin. Rosewater gives you a healthy, clean glow and has a wonderful aroma. Follow the steps below to make a rosewater moisturizer.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Rinse rose petals in water if they are purchase from a florist or store. This removes all pesticides. If the roses are from your personal garden, you may skip this step. Pesticides are terrible for skin care.
Step2
Place about one tightly packed cup of rose petals in a heat-resistant mixing bowl. This will come from about four or five roses. Do not use the outermost petals, since they are rough and protective. Pour two cups of boiling distilled water in the bowl on top of the petals.
Step3
Cover the glass bowl with a plate or pot lid. Let the mixture sit for about 20 minutes.
Step4
Pour the mixture into a glass jar through a strainer to collect the petals. Refrigerate the unused rosewater. The rose petals can be thrown away.
Step5
Break two vitamin E capsules and squeeze into a mixing bowl. Mix with one tbsp. olive oil, 1 tbsp. honey, 1 tbsp. coconut oil and 1 tbsp. rosewater. Stir with a spoon until well-mixed. Pour into a capped bottle or container with a lid.
Step6
Apply to your face with fingertips or cotton balls. Refrigerate the moisturizer between uses.
