1. Donate money to a breast cancer foundation. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is an organization that collects donations to put towards breast cancer research. It also uses its funds to ensure that patients receive quality care.

2. Wear a pink ribbon. A pink ribbon can be purchased at numerous retailers and can be worn to show that you support the cause. Remember to sport your pink ribbon during October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

3. Organize a breast cancer walk. These walks are used to raise donations that can be sent to support breast cancer research.

4. Purchase items that go towards breast cancer research. Many stores have a special selection of merchandise from which sales go towards breast cancer research. A sampling of items includes scarves, t-shirts, iPod cases, cell phones and Cartier bracelets.

5. Volunteer at an organization that works towards finding a cure for breast cancer. Many organizations need help fund raising or selling items that raise money for research.
