How to Make No Bake Cookies

When you have unexpected company, this easy cookie recipe is sure to please even the finickiest of eaters. It can be made quickly with ingredients that are readily found in most cupboards. This recipe makes 3 dozen cookies. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup low-fat milk
  • 1/3 cups Nestle Toll House Baking Cocoa
  • 3 cups uncooked Quaker Oats
  • Air tight container
  • Wax paper
  • Tablespoon
  • Large saucepan

Instructions

    • 1

      Combine sugar, margarine or butter, milk, and cocoa in a large saucepan.

      Place saucepan over a medium heat and bring to a boil all the while stirring the mixture.

      Boil mixture for 3 minutes, continuing to stir while it is boiling.

      Take off the stove away from the heat.

      Add the uncooked oats to the cooked mixture.

      Spread out wax paper on a counter or a table. Using a tablespoon, drop cookie mixture onto the wax paper.

      Wait until the cookies are firm and then put into an air tight container.

Tips & Warnings

  • One cookie is equivalent to 90 calories.

  • These cookies take about 3 minutes to prepare.

  • Add other ingredients, such as chocolate chips, to cooked mixture when adding uncooked oats to the mixture.
