Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Negotiate with your current homeowner's or renter's insurance agent to include UFO damage in your existing coverage. Select a legitimate agent and policy underwriter to draft your policy. If you have to file a claim against your policy, you don't want to find out that the policy is a fraud or a joke. Ask for references from others who have purchased UFO insurance. Ask others about their experience dealing with your agent. One particularly reputable source of all things insurance is Lloyd's of London.
Step2
Clarify exactly what documentation is necessary to bring a successful claim against the policy. Document a baseline to show the original condition of your property. Take soil samples, electromagnetic field measurements and radiation levels to document their normal state. If a UFO causes damage, this documentation gives you proof of the extent of the devastation.
Step3
Ensure that both you and your agent have copies of the policy. Keep your copy in a secure, fire-proof location away from your primary residence, such as a safe deposit box. Tell family or close friends about the policy so they know it exists. Tell them where to find it in case you are unable to retrieve it yourself.
