Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Buy four vents. The larger your shed is, the bigger vents you will want to purchase. You can find these at most home-supply stores, but you might want to call ahead because sometimes they need to be specially ordered. If you tell the home supply store the size of your shed, they can help you pick the appropriate vents.
Step2
Measure the vents that you purchased to ensure that you cut the holes to the appropriate size.
Step3
Use a power saw to cut one hole on each end of your shed just under the peak of the roof.
Step4
Install your vents into the holes you cut under your roof peak. These vents at the top of your shed will allow the heat which is usually trapped in your garden shed to escape because heat rises.
Step5
Cut one hole close to the floor on the same sides of the shed that you installed your peak vents.
Step6
Fit the holes with the remaining two vents. The vents near the floor will provide air circulation, allowing cooler air to come into your garden shed as the heat is leaving through your peak vents.
