You can make a spring wreath anytime of the year. It is easy to create, and it will give you a feeling of springtime, even in the dead of winter. Actually, you can make a wreath using any type of flowers for any occasion and any season.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wreath form
  • Silk flowers
  • Bow, ribbon and decorative items
  • Wire cutters
  • Floral tape
  • Twist tie or wreath hanger
  1. Step 1

Go to a craft store and choose the main silk flowers in the colors and flower type that you want to use for your wreath. Pick out the rest of the flowers in complementing colors, the wreath form and any bows, ribbons or additional decorations that you want to add to your wreath.

  2. Step 2

Purchase the items and return home to assemble your floral wreath.

  3. Step 3

Lay the wreath form on a table with the side you are going to decorate facing upward.

  4. Step 4

Separate the silk flowers if they are in bunches and remove any tags. Cut the stems in lengths of 4 to 6 inches with wire cutters, and wrap the sharp metal ends in floral tape.

  5. Step 5

Arrange the flowers in a pattern that you like on the wreath form. If you are using a straw wreath form just stick the flower stems into the straw. If you are using a grapevine or wire wreath form, wrap the ends of the flower stems around the vines or wires.

  6. Step 6

Add any bows, ribbons or decorative items that you want on your wreath the same way you attached the flowers.

  7. Step 7

Attach a twist tie or a wreath hanger to display your wreath.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also use a glue gun to attach bows, ribbons and decorative items to your wreath.
  • Use care when cutting the wire stems as they can snap when they are cut and fly into the air.
