1. Put a wreath hanger on your door. Hang a fall wreath that has leaves, small gourds and other fall foliage and colors.

2. Put a fall garland around your front door. Put teacup hooks near the top corners of your door frame to hang the garland.

3. Put a Thanksgiving door mat in front of the door. Find holiday door mats at home improvement and department stores.

4. Put a large basket on the front porch. Fill the basket with gourds of different shapes and sizes.

5. Hang a Thanksgiving themed welcome sign on the house near the door. Hang the sign with a nail or use a brick clip.

6. Place fall-colored topiaries on the front porch. Put several miniature pumpkins around the base of the topiary.

7. Burn a pumpkin spice scented candle in your house so that your guests are greeted by a friendly smell when you open the door.
