The University of Florida boasts a beautiful campus in the city of Gainesville. If you're thinking about becoming a Gator but are still undecided, schedule a visit to the campus. You'll get a chance to meet students and faculty, see the campus and ask questions.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Schedule a visit. You can take a walking tour of the campus Monday through Friday, you must register in advance.
Step2
Visit a sample dorm room. The walking tour does not stop at any of the residence halls at the University of Florida but there is a sample room located in Jennings Hall. It's open weekdays, so stop by and see if you like the accommodations.
Step3
Check the events calendar on the University of Florida's website. See what's happening on campus and attend an event in the evening after you've visited the campus.
Step4
Go to the information session. Before you tour the University of Florida campus attend a presentation designed primarily for incoming freshmen. You'll have a chance to ask all your questions about the admissions process.
Step5
Take a virtual tour. If you can't physically visit the campus, consider a virtual tour online. Here you can see the campus and read up on what the University of Florida has to offer. Even if you're planning a visit to the campus this is a good idea so you'll know what to expect when you get there.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're not familiar with Gainesville check out the University of Florida's website before your visit. There you'll see a list of hotels, directions to Gainesville and a map of the campus.
