Tips & Warnings
  • If you know CPR, begin the ABCs immediately after calling or having someone call for medical help.
  • Keep your CPR certification up-to-date.
  • Do not attempt to move an unconscious person unless he is in immediate danger (as in a burning building or submerged in water). Moving the person can cause more damage.
  • Only do a blind finger sweep on an unconscious adult who is not responding to rescue breaths. Never try the finger sweep on a child or infant.
