Sharing your experience with other football fans is one of the most exciting aspects of playing fantasy football. For serious players, the game goes beyond simply drafting players and hoping they win each week. Fantasy football fans also like to post on fantasy football forums to share information, get to know other teams and trade tips on getting the most from the game. Oh, and there might be a little trash-talking too!

Ask Questions and Get Answers in Fantasy Football Forums

  1. Step 1

Choose a forum. You can base this on whether you just want to talk to other players or read others' posts about specific information like player stats, injury news or strategies for drafting your own fantasy team.

  2. Step 2

Visit the main forum website and set up a profile. Generally this takes a few minutes and involves choosing an online nickname and providing your email address. The site might also send an email for you to reply to. This is done to confirm that you are a real person and not software that is spamming the forum with advertising.

  3. Step 3

Enter the forum once you are a member and choose whether you want to start a new topic or post a reply to someone else's. "Threads" are ongoing conversations. If you don't find a thread that pertains to your topic, you can start a new one about your subject.

  4. Step 4

Type your post into the message box and look it over. When you are done, click the "submit" button.

  5. Step 5

Reply to any responses you receive by opening the message, clicking the "reply" button, typing your reply and clicking the "submit" button again.

  6. Step 6

Close the forum post after you get the answer you are looking for (if the site gives you this option). That way other posters cannot respond after you stop checking for answers, which is considered good forum etiquette.

Tips & Warnings
  • Reply in a timely manner to people who respond to you in the forums. This not only is polite but it helps to build relationships. It could help you meet online friends with whom you can trade players.
  • Some forums will offer you the option to be notified by email when somebody replies to your post. This is helpful when you don't spend a lot of time in the forum. If your topic is popular, however, you could end up with a ton of notification emails that you don't want.
