If you have a favorite player, you are more than likely well informed about his career and public life in general. While professional players may not be as much of household names as other sport stars, they do have a certain appeal that makes them the center of attention when the national championships roll around. There are plenty of easy ways to follow the career of your favorite.

Follow Professional Golfers

Step1
Check the PGA official website regularly to see where your favorite golfers are playing (see Resources below). If you can't attend the games, this website is a good place to learn about their scores, what championships they are participating in and their current position in the charts.
Step2
Read golf magazines such as "Golf Tips," "Golf Magazine" and "Golf Digest" to look for profiles of professional golfers. These magazines often publish a mix of news and background, so you can not only follow the professional golfers you like, but you can also learn about their background and history.
Step3
Use the CBS Sportsline website to follow up on schedules of games to be televised or at least filmed for later distribution (see Resources below). The CBS Sportsline website also gives information on the European Tour, the Champions Tour and the Nationwide Tour.
Step4
Look into players' personal websites. Many of the professional golfers who have attained international fame have their own website, where you can learn more about their career, what are they doing and where they are playing. If you want to know particular trivia about a player, that may also be the best place to find it.
Step5
Look for special TV programs featuring professional players in settings other than an actual golf course. Specials sometimes follow players during their everyday life before and after games or showcase their work with a special organization or program.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Internet is the best place to find quick, updated information about your favorite professional golfers. If you are unable to locate specific websites about a group or organization, do a quick search using the name of a particular player as a reference and then move on to other players from there.
