Instructions

    Watch Old Formula One Races

  1. Step 1

Rent videos, in either the VHS or DVD format, of old Formula One races from any of the major video-rental chains. Most of the rental outlets will order a new copy to sell to you if you find a title that you particularly enjoy.

  2. Step 2

Call your satellite or cable-television provider and ask about channels that may offer shows about old or classic-auto racing. For example, ESPN and the Speed Channel offer such programming. If your provider does not currently carry these stations, ask it to do so.

  3. Step 3

Purchase videotapes and DVDs of old Formula One races at any retail outlet that sells such items. Check with electronic, department and specialty stores. Many of the larger retailers have the ability to special order these titles as well.

  4. Step 4

Check out Formula1.com, where you will be able to order Formula One merchandise, such as books, magazines, clothing, videos and DVDs (see Resources below). The website is also an excellent resource for checking out the schedule of the current-racing season. You can even buy tickets to the events on this website.

  5. Step 5

Watch old Formula One races by ordering directly from online resources that specialize in racing videos, such as The Motorsport Collector (see Resources below). These websites usually feature other types of motorsport merchandise, such as books, posters and models.

Tips & Warnings
  • Ask your video rental outlet if it will sell you its rental copy of a favorite Formula One tape at a "previously viewed" price, especially if it's currently unavailable otherwise.
  • If you're interested in hands-on racing entertainment, rent Formula One video games. You can find a wide variety of games at many major video-game rental stores.
