NASCAR fans and hats seem to go hand in hand. It would be a strange thing indeed to go to a NASCAR race and not see a veritable ocean of be-capped heads floating up and down the stands. It's clear that a hat is a must-have accessory for a day at the track. If you are a NASCAR fan or have one in your life, it's time to find out how to buy NASCAR hats.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Buy NASCAR Hats

Step1
Shop at a large department store that sells a variety of merchandise. The men's and accessories sections of the store are good places to find NASCAR hats.
Step2
Look for NASCAR hats at a sporting-goods store. The large national chains often carry hats with NASCAR logos and emblems on them. Some smaller local stores may also have these hats.
Step3
Buy a NASCAR hat at the track. Vendors of all kinds set up shop in and around racetracks on racing days. These vendors primarily sell NASCAR-themed products. Hats are just one of the many kinds of merchandise you can peruse and purchase at the races.
Step4
Head to the mall. Specialty hat kiosks are common features in larger malls. NASCAR hats may be among their offerings. If not, ask if such a hat can be special-ordered for you.
Step5
Get genuine NASCAR gear, including hats, at the NASCAR.com Superstore (see Resources below). If it has the NASCAR logo on it, you can probably find it at this officially sanctioned, comprehensive online store.

Tips & Warnings

  • Buy hats with adjustable straps in the back. This way, the recipient of the hat can customize it to fit his unique head size.
  • If you can't find a NASCAR hat with an adjustable strap, get the measurements of the head of the person who will be receiving the hat. Be sure to buy a hat in that size.
  • Don't buy counterfeit NASCAR hats. These hats are not officially sanctioned by either NASCAR or the drivers represented on them. It's not always easy to identify a counterfeit hat. Some things to look out for are NASCAR hats being sold from makeshift stalls in unusual locations, poor-quality craftsmanship and an unwillingness of the seller to answer questions about the origin of the hat.
  • If you suspect someone is selling counterfeit NASCAR hats, call the police to investigate.
