Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • active dry yeast (25 ounce)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar (white)
  • 1 cup warm water
  • large bowl
  • cloth (damp)
  • oiled bowl
  1. Step 1

firstly let the yeast dissolve in warm water for 10 minutes until frothy. Stir in sugar, milk, egg, salt, and enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead until it smoothens.

  2. Step 2

Place dough in oiled bowl and cover with damp cloth and set aside to rise (for aprox 1 hour).

  3. Step 3

When ready, pinch of golf sized balls and place on a tray. Cover with a towel and let them rise to double the volume for about 30 minutes. Pre heat the grill to high.

  4. Step 4

At grill side, roll one ball of dough out into a thin circle. Lightly oil grill. Place dough on grill, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until puffy and lightly browned. Brush uncooked side with butter, and turn over. Brush cooked side with butter, and cook until browned, another 2 to 4 minutes. Remove from grill, and continue the process until all the naan has been prepared
