Stubborn mildew on fabric will resist ordinary washing. Use this solution to get rid of mildew on whites!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 parts salt
  • 1 part lemon juice
Step1
Wash the fabric in warm soapy water and then mix salt and lemon juice. Make enough to cover the mildewed area, and then apply it directly to the stain.
Step2
Place the fabric in full sun for several hours.
Step3
Rinse! If the stain persists, repeat treatment.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not use this treatment on dark or colored fabric as the lemon juice will bleach the fabric!
